ICON Motors (SMC-PVT) Limited, a subsidiary of the Siachen Group, was established in 2018 with the aim of introducing high-quality Chinese vehicles to the Pakistani market. While our initial plans were delayed by the global pandemic, the shift in global automotive trends especially towards Electric Vehicles (EVs) inspired us to realign our vision toward promoting clean and green energy solutions.

Why Electric Vehicle Make Sence in Pakistan

Reducing Oil Imports Oil-related imports are one of the largest burdens on Pakistan’s economy. Adopting EVs can help cut these costs significantly, improving our trade balance and economic stability.

Efficient Utilization of Power Resources Pakistan currently produces approximately 34,000 MW of electricity, while peak consumption averages only 23,000 MW and typically around 16,000 MW. By introducing EVs, especially in the transport sector, we can utilize excess electricity production, reduce overall electricity costs, and support both domestic consumers and industries.

Environmental Benefits Transitioning to EVs will dramatically reduce Pakistan’s carbon footprint, particularly in urban areas struggling with severe air pollution.
